Talibon has New PNP Chief

After two and 11 months of loyal, active and effective service in Talibon, Chief Eduard A. Sanchez announced to the congregation present during the flag raising ceremony last Monday morning of July 25, 2016, that he will now be transferred to Cebu City.  Due to the new mandate, a new PNP Chief by the name of PSI Norman L. Nuez will take his place.

Talibon PWD Day Observed

The third week of July was declared National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation (NDPR) Week by virtue of Proclamation No. 361 signed on Aug. 19, 2000, by then President Joseph Estrada.  2016 is the 38th.

LGU-Talibon, thru the MSWDO, decided to hold a special program for the Persons with Disabilities (PWD) on the last working day of the 3rd week of July, yet since July 22 is a holiday in Bohol, the program was held on the 21st.

Projects Multi-Blessed and Inaugurated in Talibon

After the election fever has settled, LGU-Talibon immediately went to work; preparing the sites designated for inauguration. At 10:30 in the morning of July 12, 2016, the following infrastructure projects were blessed and inaugurated: the Talibon Information Center; and the rehabilitated RHU building which would house the Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA), PhilHealth and Post Office; and the TB-Dots Building.

Talibon PNP Station Recipient of Bulletproof Vests and Kevlar Helmets


The Talibon PNP Station received, from Mayor Restituto B. Auxtero, Ten (10) Level 3 bulletproof vests and Kevlar helmets worth P190,000.00.  The vests and helmets were handed over to Chief Edward Sanchez after the flag ceremony on July 11, 2016 and were put on by the task force, for all to see.
