Origin of the Name Busalian

During the Spanish time, some soldiers came to this place. They saw a man cutting wood to be used in building a house. The Spanish soldiers did not know that the man was deaf, so they went nearer the old man and inquired about the name of the place. The deaf thought that he was asked what he was doing, so he answered immediately that it was “BUSALIAN”, which means in our dialect as “dinalian”. The Spanish were happy and they shouted the name Busalian. Since then, they named the place Busalian.
